About Me

Stephanie Sachs is a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy, and offering collaborative services in multiple domains including family law, medicine, and academic, maintaining a private practice in Birmingham, MI.

With over 10 years experience as a marriage and family therapist, and as an ongoing student and graduate of numerous institutions specializing in deep, insight psychotherapy for individuals, groups, couples and families, she is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are: mood disorders, personality disorders, conflict resolution and divorce mediation, adolescents and young adults.

In addition to being a well-respected Psychotherapist, Stephanie Sachs has presented to audiences speaking on the topics of families with adolescents, family systems in conflict and/or change including separation, divorce, and reblending families. She will work with Attorneys to help smooth the divorce processes where there is high conflict, mental health challenges, and addiction, and work with the children and other family members involved to help persons resolve challenges, learn new coping and communication skills, and co-construct a happier "new normal".

Stephanie is also an interactive, fast-moving, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
